NEW COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS AT ORCHID MEDICAL CLINIC
As British Columbia begins its Restart Plan, Orchid Medical Clinic will be implementing new clinic protocols to ensure our patients remain safe and cared for.
We are now booking in-person appointments and cosmetic procedures if space and time permit us to accommodate you safely. Appointments not requiring an in-person assessment, such as prescription refills, will remain booked as virtual or phone appointments.
We ask that you do not come into the clinic without a confirmed appointment.
Patients must bring a mask when coming to the clinic, regardless of symptoms.
We also ask that patients call when they have arrived for their appointment and come to their appointments alone, unless a care-aide is medically necessary.
If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, such as cough, fever, or runny nose, please stay at home and book a virtual or phone call appointment by calling our front desk. We will not be seeing patients in person if they are expressing flu-like symptoms.
Thank you to all of our patients for following our new safety protocols. We look forward to continuing to provide you with the utmost care.
What are the new safety protocols at Orchid Medical Clinic?
- Frequent disinfection and sanitization of public spaces, including waiting room area, front desk and front desk counter, front desk plexi-glass, door handles/knobs, and washrooms.
- Complete disinfection and sanitization of patient rooms before every in-person visit.
- Implementation of social distancing practices and clear indications of 2 metre distances in waiting area.
- Scheduling practices that ensure in-person visits are amply separated, avoiding patient cross-over in clinic.
- Ensuring patients bring masks or are provided with masks upon arrival to appointments.
- Ensuring patients attend appointments alone to abide by social distancing practices.
- All staff will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when medically necessary. PPE is discarded and replaced after each in-person visit to abide by sanitization standards.
- Availability of hand-sanitization gels in waiting room, at front desk, and in patient rooms
- Installation of plexi-glass barrier to ensure our patients and staff remain safe from droplet contamination
